The world is a battleground between good and evil, everything in life has a direct opposite of it, there is always something that wants to fight you even if you don’t see it, it has been like that since the beginning of the world, there is a God and there is a devil, there is positive and negative, there is police and thief, there is a narrow path and a wide path, there is cold and there is heat, there is a pleasure and there is pain, there is rich and poor, beautiful and ugly.

There is sin and there is righteousness and you can never be both of them at the same time, when you sin and regret it and ask God to forgive you is different from a person who goes out of his way to sin, that is the difference because, the Bible says, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

Whenever you find yourself being too comfortable in what you are doing and you know deep in your heart that it does not glorify God, then there is a big problem somewhere, the devil does not waste his bullets, you can not be a Christian and love the world, you can not eat your cake and have it, you are either here or there, there is a difference between being religious and being spiritual, when you are a Christian and still do the things of the world, the devil will leave you in peace because you think you are saved while you are busy enjoying yourself with worldly things.

The mind is like soil, what you plant is what you shall reap, when you spend the whole day listening to worldly music and movies, what do you think you are feeding your mind? Look at these people who act in movies or sing worldly songs, they are the number one people who support promiscuity, divorce, drunkenness smoking, and even homosexuality, now ask yourself, are these the kind of people I am supposed to idolize?

Ask yourself why you always feel sleepy when you read the Bible, but you can stay awake all day watching movies that don’t glorify God? the devil is not stupid, he runs up and down looking for who to devour, don’t make his work easy for him by falling cheap for these worldly musicians/actors who have sold their souls for worldly riches, at least they are enjoying the worldly riches, how about you? Do you want to go to hell simply because you could not control your fleshly desire to enjoy people singing about drugs and sleeping with random people? Is it worth losing your soul? Is that how cheap your soul is? Can the devil die for you as Jesus died for you?

Ask yourself, will Christ be proud of what you are doing? Jesus did not die on the cross for you to enjoy the world and just go to heaven, he died so you can be saved by worshipping him in truth and spirit, the only way to salvation and redemption is through Christ our Lord, there is no other way don’t deceive yourself.

You can’t just repent and go to church on Sundays and think all is well, you have to build your faith in Christ every day by reading the Bible, listening to Christian inspirational songs, or watching Christian movies, that is how you grow in Christ, even a business that does not grow is useless both to the owner and the people who patronize it.

May God give us the will and the zeal to hunger and thirst for his words and works as we do for the things of the world, amen.
